1. NITI Aayog లో Dr R Balasubramaniam & Dr Joram Aniya – కొత్త Full-Time Members నియమకం

PM Narendra Modi మే 2, 2026 న Cabinet Secretariat Gazette Notification ద్వారా Dr R Balasubramaniam మరియు Dr Joram Aniya లను NITI Aayog Full-Time Members గా నియమించారు. ఏప్రిల్ 24, 2026 న Ashok Lahiri Vice Chairman నియమకం తర్వాత ఇది రెండవ పెద్ద నియమకం – NITI Aayog లో ఇప్పుడు Vice Chairman + 7 Full-Time Members ఉన్నారు.

3. MCF Raebareli – మొదటి Vande Bharat Trainset రోల్ అవుట్; Testing కి Dispatch

Modern Coach Factory (MCF), Raebareli, Uttar Pradesh మే 2, 2026 న మొదటి 16-car Vande Bharat Chair Car rake రోల్ అవుట్ చేసింది – India’s Vande Bharat trainset manufacturing కు మూడవ production hub గా చేరింది. ఇంతకు ముందు ICF Chennai మరియు RCF Kapurthala మాత్రమే Vande Bharat నిర్మిస్తున్నాయి. Vande Bharat journey 2018 లో 2 trainsets తో ప్రారంభమైంది; ఇప్పుడు 100వ trainset మైలురాయికి చేరుకోబోతోంది.

Test Speed: 180 kmph; Operational speed: 160 kmph. Service entry కు ముందు COCR (Oscillation) trials జరుగుతాయి.

4. DRDO LR-AShM Hypersonic Missile – Phase-II విజయవంతం; 1500km లో Perfect Score

DRDO Long-Range Anti-Ship Missile (LR-AShM) Phase-II Flight Trial మే 1, 2026 న Odisha తీరంలోని APJ Abdul Kalam Island నుండి ITR Launch Complex-IV నుండి విజయవంతంగా నిర్వహించారు. 1,500 km దూరంలో Simulated Naval Target ని Perfect Score తో Hit చేసింది. ఈ test DRDO Chairman Samir V Kamat ANI National Security Summit లో సూచించిన మరుసటి రోజే జరిగింది.

LR-AShM Technical Details: 13 metres పొడవు, 1.4 metres diameter, ~12 tonnes బరువు. Quasi-ballistic trajectory; Initial phase లో Mach 10 వేగం; Glide phase లో average Mach 5; Two-stage solid rocket motor; Indigenous avionics + high-accuracy sensors; Carbon-based heat shield (2000°C+ తట్టుకుంటుంది). APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, Hyderabad అభివృద్ధి చేసింది. Republic Day 2026 Parade లో publicly display చేశారు. ఇది BrahMos మరియు Strategic Ballistic missiles మధ్య gap fill చేస్తుంది.

5. NHAI – India’s First Multi-Lane Free Flow Tolling System Gujarat లో ప్రారంభం

National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) మే 1, 2026 న India’s first Multi-Lane Free Flow (MLFF) barrier-less Tolling System ని Gujarat లోని Choriyasi Toll Plaza, NH-48 (Surat–Bharuch stretch) లో విజయవంతంగా ప్రారంభించింది. 6. Parveen Shaikh – Whitley Award 2026 గెలిచారు; Indian Skimmer Conservation

14. Shenzhen University – Direct Coal Fuel Cell అభివృద్ధి

China’s Shenzhen University విజ్ఞాన శాస్త్రవేత్తలు Direct Coal Fuel Cell అభివృద్ధి చేసినట్లు ప్రకటించారు – ఇది coal ని నేరుగా electrochemical reaction ద్వారా electricity గా మార్చే technology. Traditional coal combustion కంటే అత్యంత efficient; CO2 emissions తక్కువగా ఉంటాయి. ఈ technology successful అయితే coal-based energy generation రంగంలో విప్లవాత్మక మార్పు వస్తుంది.
